Tentsmuir Beach. Suitably refreshed we headed off from there to the glorious beach section opting to walk on the sands rather than the forest paths which were waymarked. The beach stretches towards the mouth of the River Tay some distance away before turning left at Tentsmuir Point.

We finally managed to get some sunshine yesterday and do you know what I would have just settled for a day without rain. They are a rare orchid that send their spirals of white flowers up towards the sun. Tentsmuir is also home to a wide range of wonderful wildlife with everything from roe deer to red squirrels. This superb beach stretches north for 5 miles from the mouth of the River Eden to the Tay estuary.
